We all go there to get haircuts! I really want to praise all the instructors they are very encouraging! They give constructive criticism and keep telling them they are doing a good job! They are so patient with my toddler which is a bonus! All the students work so hard and are very passionate about it!

If you’re a black person, I would not recommend coming here for hair services at all. I took my sister to get a Brazilian blowout and when I picked her up, she looked like a puppet with hair. It was incredibly stiff, poofy (appearing as though it was only blow dried), and her roots were still completely curly, as if the stylist didn’t even touch them with the straightener. After I saw the atrocity on my sister’s head, I walked in and talked to the instructor who told me “Brazilian blowouts are not supposed to be completely straight.” A simple google search would prove otherwise. Then the stylist came over, confirmed that she didn’t touch the roots at all, and blamed her poor quality work on my sister’s hair texture (trying to act like the victim in this situation). We sat in the salon for another hour and a half, while the stylist and the instructor attempted to straighten the roots and length of her hair again. Yet surprise, surprise, my sister still hated it and it still looked poor quality. I highly doubt that the students study/practice on Afro hair, and it shows.

I got my haircut by a student today named Zoey. She gave me one of the best haircuts I have ever had. She paid very attention to detail, and even got around my ears and cowlick that even professionals have messed up on. She was extremely nice and made sure I felt comfortable with my autism. She went above and beyond and I will be referring everyone to her. I definitely see her succeeding in the profession
