“Clio Professionals” more like UNPROFESSIONAL. If I can put 0 stars, I would. It’s disappointing to see a school that has an abundance of great comments but in reality is the opposite of what it is said about them. They’re very uncommunicative with each of their staff and also with their students. I was supposed to start on February 03 but was unable to due to personal reasons but they were trying to charge me extra. They do not follow their own contract which is not given to you at all unless you ask for it. I hope that this review can help others to avoid enrolling into this school. If you want to have one less problem in your life, PLEASE AVOID THIS AREA.

I recently enrolled in the nail technician program and encountered several communication issues. My start date was January 31st, and I had requested afternoon classes from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM. I had texted the provided number, which I believed was the contact of the lady who assisted me with enrollment, to confirm my start date on January 30th. She assured me that there were no issues and only that I needed to make my $500 monthly payment. I completed the payment and arrived on January 30th at 4:45 PM, excited to begin my new career.
However, upon arrival, I was informed by Esmeralda, the lady who had helped me enroll, that she had no idea I would be starting on January 30th. She still had me scheduled for January 31st, but this time in the morning. I was shocked and explained that I had texted her to confirm my start date on January 30th. She responded that she had not received a text from me and that she had just returned from vacation, unaware of who I had texted.
I inquired about the payment number I had sent, and she informed me that it was the owner’s name, Juana. Esmeralda also mentioned that she had just been notified by the owner that the afternoon classes had been canceled. I asked Esmeralda why I hadn’t been informed about the hour changes, as I work from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Additionally, I pointed out that we had discussed Fridays, and I would start at 1:00 PM, but I was now being scheduled for the morning.
This situation deeply disappointed me, especially considering the lack of communication between the owner and Esmeralda .
Juana, the owner, called me to provide different versions of what transpired on January 30th. One version involved student complaints about the teacher. The students had communicated to Juana that they would not attend classes if the teacher showed up. Another excuse was that the teacher had a family emergency, which is understandable, but I was surprised that I didn’t receive any notification via text message, email, or phone call.
The third issue was that she ordered the incorrect books, it was cosmetology not for nail technician which I had already paid $250.
Furthermore, I remain dissatisfied with the lack of notification regarding the hour changes. As a result, I requested a refund and expressed my inability to continue trusting the school.
The owner expressed confusion about why Esmeralda had informed me about the hour change, she stated that’s was not true, the only change was to remove the current pm teacher, but they would have her replacement . On Friday, the nail technician teacher contacted me, inquiring about my absence from class. It was evident that Esmeralda or Juana had failed to notify her of my decision to withdraw from the program.
These actions were highly unprofessional, especially considering that I reside 45 minutes from the school and was willing to drive to attend classes. I received my refund, but I want to warn anyone considering enrolling in this school to think twice. I’m not sure if I’m the first person to experience such issues at this supposedly professional institution.
