I went through Cortiva for Massage Therapy, and now I’m going back for Esthetics. The first time around I hated this school, not gonna lie, and I blamed the school wholeheartedly. However, I took some time off and came back in Aug of 2024. I came back more emotionally mature, prepared, and understanding of what I was walking into. Cortiva is a school, not a home. Not a daycare. They will not go the extra mile for unnecessary things. However, they will work with you if you are honest, communicative, and ambitious towards getting your license. This entire journey is about self, and the school is here to support you. At the end of the day, if you want support you will get it. If you have complaints, complain to the staff not your classmates. If you have grievances, be honest with staff and not classmates. Take deep breaths, and remind yourself that the experience will end. I honestly love this school now, and I appreciate it a lot for what it has been for me.

Wonderful place for a massage or facial or both. Prices are very low and affordable. Therapist are among the best in Baltimore even though they are still in training. Don’t want to forget the receptionists who are efficient and friendly. You won’t regret the experience. Try it!

My experience at Cortiva for the most part was an awakening, unpredictable, humbling one lol it was just as I imagined shaping us for the real deal: students with different personalities and opinions , clients with various needs and backgrounds, staff trying their best. My advice to anyone who wanted to attend Cortiva …be BIG on communicatinggggg!! , keep to yourself, treat people with respect, get out your comfort zone be open to new things/techniques and do your best to see positive outlooks(which you’ll need lol!) you’ll do fine. -Adria Fowlkes
