I have had vehicle accident and currently have issues with back, neck and shoulder. Robert Garcia is attentive, courteous, a great listener/communicator and has excellent customer service. He is highly skilled and has the ability to work out tough tension spots with just the right amount of pressure. The use of stretching combined with deep tissue massage left me feeling relaxed and refreshed. I didn’t even know it was possible but I left de-stressed and with more flexibility. Robert’s knowledge and experience in his field resulted in an exceptional massage. He even showed me beneficial stretches and exercises that I can do from home to further relax. He is a phenomenal therapist. Best quality-life decision I ever made to go to Cortiva Institute and have selected Robert for a massage. Thank you John M.

My experience at Cortiva Institute is honestly very mixed, and the only reason this school receives a 5-star rating from me is because of one teacher — her alone. After going through four different instructors, I can confidently say that none of them truly taught me in a way that felt effective, engaging, or motivating. With those previous teachers, I often felt like I was just showing up rather than actually learning. The material felt rushed, unclear, and disconnected, and I left many days feeling like I had gained little to nothing from being there. That completely changed when I had her (ms. Shameika) She was the first teacher who made me feel like my education actually mattered. She didn’t just teach the curriculum — she brought it to life. She explained things thoroughly, answered questions with patience, and made sure students genuinely understood instead of just memorizing steps. Her teaching style was clear, structured, and intentional, which made a world of difference after feeling lost for so long. More than that, she made me want to come to school every day. After months of feeling discouraged, unmotivated, and disappointed by my experience, she restored my confidence and excitement for learning. She created a classroom environment that felt supportive, encouraging, and safe to ask questions in. You could tell she truly cared about her students and their success — not just passing them through the program. She stood out in every way. Her professionalism, knowledge, passion, and dedication were unmatched compared to the other instructors I encountered. The gap in quality was so noticeable that it made me realize how much potential the program could have if more teachers were like her. She is the reason I feel I learned anything of real value during my time there. Because of her, I can honestly say my personal learning experience deserves 5 stars. However, that rating does not reflect the school as a whole. As an institution, Cortiva Institute itself would receive 1 star from me. The inconsistency in instruction, lack of quality teaching across multiple instructors, and overall experience left me disappointed. Without her, I would not return to this school, nor would I recommend it to anyone else. The school’s success, in my opinion, relies far too heavily on one exceptional educator rather than a consistently strong program. In summary: ⭐ My teacher — outstanding, inspiring, and the sole reason I found value in my education. ⭐ The school itself — deeply underwhelming and not somewhere I would choose again. She is the reason I finished strong. She is the reason I learned. And she is the reason this experience wasn’t a complete loss.
