I've been coming to D&S School of Cosmetology for the past 3 yrs now for services. Not only is the level of professionalism and quality of services better than I've ever received but to echo other reviews they've made me feel like family !...They all treat me like a VIP and make me feel special. I'm grateful to no end for the chance to get to know the owner, Ms. Delphine whose memory will forever live on. I love all of these folks and give my highest recommendation for everything they do...hair color, haircuts, facials, manicures, pedicures, perms....This school is truly a hidden gem....graduating the best in this industry !...Thankyou to all of you. I have no reason to want to go anywhere else...we all deserve the pampering that D&S provides and the way they make you feel when you leave....that you can't wait to return !!....Larry K.

I came here once in September and I did not have a good experience. I came in for cornrows and my braider did a good job. However, I politely asked the braider to flat iron my leave out not expecting it would be extra but instead I was charged by the owner an extra $5 while I was still in the chair. The price for the braids is determined by how many you get and I got 8 which came up to $40. I thought that was a bit high but I was on a time stretch. Also, I was charged before the service was done which I thought was strange because typically you pay after being serviced and expressing satisfaction with the style. I came with two other people as well who also got stuff done so it’s not like I intended on walking out after it was done. Next, I came in with my hair washed and blow dried because that’s what I’m used to doing for other stylists and I didn’t know their system considering I had never been here before. My braider was going to wash/blow dry me again however the owner said no and said to braid it anyways. Even though she said later on that all clients must taken to the bowl no matter what so why wasn’t I? Clearly, the policy is only enforced on a person to person basis. Perhaps, they were short staffed that day but to me that was not a reason to treat paying customers that way. To be honest, the students had a good demeanor but not the manager. I’m all for supporting Black businesses but considering my experience here, this place did not seem professional at all and I would not spend my money nor visit again.

The most unprofessional hair school I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been going to hair school since I was a child. In my opinion this is a braid school and not an overall salon very unprofessional untidy, uninvolved instructor.
Also, this is cash only and that was not anywhere advertised until I walked in the door
