I have been coming here for the last few months and taking a deep breath as I know wait times are ridiculous. Today pushed me over the edge. I have currently been waiting for 2.5 hours even though I got here a few minutes before the place opened. I will no longer be returning. Time is an asset, and at this point, I’d rather go somewhere else and spend the extra money to know I have a scheduled appointment and know I don’t have to spend all day waiting for a service.

Dear Manager's of Pressley School of Cosmetology,
I am writing to share my recent experience at your beaufy school, which left me disappointed and seeking clarity about your policies and customer service approach.
This location is known for accepting walk-ins. On Monday, I drove 30 minutes in cold and snowy weather, arriving at around 6:50 PM—well before your closing time of 10:00 PM—only to be informed that no more customers were being accepted. When I inquired if it was possible for them to accommodate me since I had already traveled so far, I was told no, as they only take walk-ins and were no longer accepting anyone that evening. This left me feeling frustrated, as I had no way of knowing the situation beforehand.
To prevent a similar experience, I called the following day to check availability before leaving. However, I was told that I was impolite and that I could not be served. While I understand the importance of maintaining respectful communication, I believe customers should be allowed to express frustration when faced with a lack of clear communication or professional service.
To improve the experience for your customers, I strongly suggest implementing the following:
Clear Online Updates: If your business has reached capacity for the day, please consider posting a note on your website or social media pages to inform potential customers, saving them unnecessary trips.
Reservation System: Introducing a system to allow customers to reserve spots during peak hours would prevent misunderstandings and provide clarity on availability.
Better Communication: Staff training on handling customer inquiries with empathy and professionalism could help diffuse frustrations while maintaining a positive relationship with patrons.
I hope you can appreciate my perspective and understand why this experience felt both inconvenient and disappointing. I am sharing this feedback in hopes that it can contribute to improvements in your service and communication processes.
Thank you for taking the time to review my concerns. I look forward to hearing back from you about how similar situations can be avoided in the future.

Now that I have calmed down a bit I replayed the conversation only to validate my previous thoughts. I am also a business owner and in all my years of being in business I have never been able to afford rejecting/turning away 20-24 clients in one day. As I entered your establishment on Saturday I was immediately advised by your Manager on staff that they were not accepting anymore clients. That there was only 8 stylish and 20-24 clients were already turned away even though I arrived within your business hours. My very valuable lesson is that no matter how long a business has been around professionalism no longer exists their. Had I realized how my business would be affected for the entire weekend I would have taken myself elsewhere!

Editor's Description
With two campuses in the Detroit metropolitan area, David Pressley School of Cosmetology offers hands-on training in the latest skin care, hairstyling, nail care, and makeup application techniques.
With a student-to-faculty ratio of 20 to 1, the school can offer more personalized instruction. In fact, former students cite this as one of its many benefits. One student's review says, "Great instructors, quality protocols and products. You work hard but you have a lot of fun. Small classroom sizes make it easier to get quality training."
The 1,500-hour cosmetology program provides training in hair, skin, and nail care. Courses are available in the daytime and evenings, and some weekend classes may be required.
The esthetician program includes 600 hours, or 20 weeks, in specialized esthetics courses. This training is 200 more hours than the state requires so that students may obtain licenses in any state.
The instructor program features 600 hours of additional training beyond cosmetology instruction—100 hours over the state requirement to ensure maximum preparedness for the classroom.
