Ashley did an AMAZING JOB on my hair! Thank you Ms. Moe for checking my hair as well. These two are the ONLY REASONS why I did this review because they showed that they cared and they were extremely respectful. Unfortunately, I did not get the same respect from the Director (Ms. Na Na) the day before my scheduled appointment. She even refused to tell me the name of the person who was scheduled to do my hair. I will quote "We aren't allowed to give students names." I just stared at her. She did not know that I have been sporadically coming to Empire for over 20 years and I have NEVER been treated the way she treated me by NOBODY EVER! I did not ask her about her position at Empire, but she felt the need to tell me "I'm the Director!" I allowed her to say all that she was saying avoiding being confrontation while students and other clients/customers were present. I will strongly encourage for the future please do not ever tell a person/client/customer that she/he NEED to ALLOW different people do their hair because Empire is a teaching school. We know that Empire is a school, which is obvious. It's the clients/customer's body (hair), so it is still their choice. Please be respectful! Nobody has the right to tell another person what they should do with their body against what the person want for herself/himself. Oh yeah, when the person asks "Who am I scheduled with to do my hair?' Please give the person the name of the student, so he/she can say "I have a scheduled appointment with _______ at _____" when he/she arrives for their scheduled appointment at Empire like the conversation should take place at any place of business with scheduled appointments. You never know who the person is that you're serving. You know their profession and/or involvement in the community/city/county/state/country. Please don't judge a book by it's cover and make assumptions.

I went to the school to remove the fuzz on my head and trim my beard. I am very happy with the results. I read some negative reviews but these reviewers need to understand that these are students and that they are acquiring experience. Let’s help them out!
