3/20/2025 Update: I came back in and for Kyra to do my hair and makeup for my beach wedding. I am thrilled with how everything turned out and felt absolutely glorious. The staff here works so well with all of the students, and I really appreciated everyone’s kindness making me feel special on a truly special day for me. It makes me smile to see how everyone in there seemed to be having fun with each other. I would also love to see a more accessible way for the students to be able to display their cash app/venmo/zelle info on their workstations so that I don’t have to ask for it in order to leave them gratuity. I imagine some customers feel awkward asking for that info or just don’t know that they should, and I think it is also important for students in that learning environment to know their worth and be rewarded for proving truly excellent customer service. Maybe there could at least be an option to leave gratuity during the check-out process when paying for services, without the paying customer having to ask. 3/14/2025: Kyra did a great job on my hair color! I got low lights done to fix some old highlights that had grown out really badly. So happy with how this turned out. Kyra did a great job consulting with me, I always have a hard time deciding what I want, and I needed a skilled eye to give me opinions on what looks good with my skin tone. I am getting married next week and so proud that this is the hair color that I’ll have in my wedding photos.

My first visit at Empire Beauty Academy in Brandon was a wonderful, relaxing experience. Cosmetologist student Alexandria was fantastic. My service was a shampoo wash/deep conditioning with cornrows. Alex after conditioning my hair gave me a scalp massage almost had me sleep in the chair, extremely relaxing…loved it! She braided my hair exactly how I requested and it look fantastic. I will definitely be returning for more services. The service was quick, students are trained very well, school is very clean well organized, teachers are helpful and kind, and I loved my experience. Thanks Alex and staff.

At Empire Beauty School, cosmetology students learn the latest trends in hair cutting, coloring, and design, alongside nail services such as manicures and pedicures, esthetic skincare procedures, and marketing and communication skills to help build a business through positive word of mouth. The school's Tampa campus offers a full salon service, allowing students to practice their skills on real clients.
If you haven't yet completed a high school diploma, Empire Beauty School may be able to help. They allow students to complete their high school diplomas through a partnership with Penn Foster, meaning you can finally fulfill your dream of becoming a licensed cosmetologist.
Alumna Geneva said studying at the school allowed her to take her business to the next level: "Before coming to empire, I held a hair braiding license, but entered the full cosmetology program to be able to expand my clientele and build my business long term."
