Editor's Description

With two campuses in the Detroit metro area and a third location for its student salon in Canton, L'Esprit Academy prides itself on being a fun, energetic, challenging, customer-driven, family-focused training center. It focuses on student support and consistency in the learning experience to provide graduates with the best chances at employment. Students receive exposure to multiple brands in the industry, including Wella, Dermalogica, and more.

Students at L'Esprit attend classes in a hybrid format, with courses both in-person and online (synchronously), so students should plan to access their own devices to utilize Microsoft Teams. Students graduate with the skills they need to succeed on the state board exams.

They also comment on the quality of preparation they receive and the family-like atmosphere. For example, graduate Jessica Garber says, "I can confidently recommend L'Esprit Academy … The entire faculty and staff repeatedly went out of their way to ensure that I had a positive experience and that I would successfully complete the cosmetology program."
