Be extremely careful in involving yourself with this school if you are neurodivergent or otherwise “different” in any way that impacts your ability to interact with others, as this will only be viewed as weakness — “not as strong”. You risk being given inferior treatment, to then be accused of letting your insecurities “get the better” of you if that becomes too much to handle. The favoritism shown to students who play dirty power games, throw others under the bus, and ostracize those who don’t fit their social standards is readily apparent. I cannot count the amount of times teachers would get frustrated with me for struggling to focus or needing clarification on something, and this eventually impacted how willing they were to provide me with job recommendations, even though those same problems did not translate to environments outside of school. This is needlessly unfair, and I was threatened with being barred from the building for bringing these exact concerns to administrators and not taking flak from other students who didn’t understand the challenges I faced. I’m aware that this is not the experience of most who attend this school, and that’s the point. Just because you are in the minority means that your concerns are more likely to be discounted, as whether or not you are left feeling encouraged and supported does not matter. This review comes after months of trying to resolve things in private and only having my experience downplayed or even outright invalidated. They get their money either way, so look out for yourself if you want anyone to look out for you at all. Personally, I would ask for a refund if that were possible in my situation, but alas!

I absolutely LOVED Makeup Designory! Everyone cares so much about one another and all the staff are so inspirational! I recommend everyone who wants to go should definitely go, it’s an experience that will forever be a core memory:)

This school I do not recommend. Why don't I ? Because they like to discriminate people on how they dress. When they don't even dress professionals...
