McDougle Technical Institute is an accredited private school specializing in vocational training for career preparation in the cosmetology arts and sciences. We offer programs in barbering, cosmetology, facials, instructor training, massage therapy, and nails.

Our instructors teach because they are passionate about inspiring the next generation of beauty practitioners and want you to succeed in the industry too. Along with all that rich history, we also bring in renowned guest artists to lead exclusive training sessions.
We believe the industry's future stars deserve to train using the best product lines, which is why we've partnered with established brands including: CHI, OPI nail products, MAC makeup, PCA and Samantha Kerr skincare products.

Beauty Changes Lives Scholarship
Beauty Changes Lives, the American Association of Cosmetology Schools and their partners are offering the chance to win a scholarship towards education to begin an exciting career in the beauty and wellness industry. Prospective students with a start date at a qualified cosmetology school can enter and 10 winners will receive a scholarship to pay for 50% of their tuition at a qualified school.

OPI & AACS ACE Scholarship Program
As part of OPI's ongoing scholarship program, 9 students annually who are attending AACS member schools will each be awarded a $500.00 scholarship from OPI. Students must be enrolled, or in the process of enrolling, in a cosmetology related program at an AACS member school to qualify. Winners will be selected based on an essay and one industry recommendation. Click here to download an application.
Sport Clips & American Crew ACE Scholarship Program
Through the ACE (Access to Cosmetology Education) Scholarship Program, up to 20 Cosmetology Students who are enrolled at an AACS member school, will each be awarded a $1,000 scholarship provided by Sport Clips/American Crew.
The MyCAA Scholarship
Beauty Anatomy Institute of Cosmetology & Wellness salutes military families through our partnership with the Department of Defense Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA) program which provides up to $4,000 of Financial Assistance for military spouses who are pursuing degree programs, licenses or credentials leading to employment in portable career fields.

Veterans Training - Qualifying GI Bills
Montgomery GI Bill® (Chapter 30) - any Active Duty members enroll and pay $100 per month for 12 months; and are then entitled to receive a monthly education benefit once they have completed a minimum service obligation.
Montgomery GI Bill® (Chapter 1606) - a reservist must be actively drilling and have a 6-year obligation in the Selected Reserve to be eligible. The Montgomery GI Bill® (Chapter 1606)
Post 9/11 (Chapter 33) - provides financial support for education and housing to individuals with at least 90 days of aggregate service after September 10, 2001, or individuals discharged with a service-connected disability after 30 days. You must have received an honorable discharge to be eligible for the Post-9/11 GI Bill®.
Reserve Educational Assistance ((REAP) Chapter 1607) - Dependents Educational Assistance Program is designed to provide educational assistance to members of the Reserve components called or ordered to active duty in response to a war or national emergency (contingency operation) as declared by the President or Congress. This program makes certain reservists who were activated for at least 90 days after September 11, 2001 either eligible for education benefits or eligible for increased benefits.
Survivors & Dependents Assistance (DEA Chapter 35) - provides education and training opportunities to eligible dependents of certain veterans. The program offers up to 45 months of education benefits. These benefits may be used for degree and certificate programs, apprenticeship, and on-the-job training.

Students may enroll in all classes with a high school diploma or GED or by passing a Wonderlic Basic Skills Test. The approved passing scores are Verbal 200 and Quantitative 210. Barber, Cosmetology, Nail Specialty, and Facial Specialty students may be 16 years of age (with parental consent). Massage and Instructor students must be at least 18 years of age. The school cannot guarantee a license or the ability to take a test if the student has a criminal background.
The school hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
