Editor's Description

Students at Penrose Academy follow a customized curriculum curated by leading international beauty experts that focuses on essential business skills.

The school is the first in Arizona to be approved by the U.S. Department of Education to offer a 1,600-hour cosmetology hybrid program, including distance learning that happens off-site, online, and at the students' convenience. A four-day (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday) schedule also gives students flexibility in their work and personal lives while still providing a comprehensive curriculum.

Programs in esthetics, hair, laser use, and faculty certification are also available.

"My favorite thing about Penrose Academy is their love and passion for the industry and mostly for each other," says alumnus Tim. "There is so much love and encouragement that it makes you feel much better about yourself. They are setting us up in real life scenarios and situations and bringing in outside professionals to give us a glimpse into the real world. Also, they are preparing us at the end with test out and mock interviews."
