I’m going to be completely honest. I understand it’s a school and getting a haircut with students is always a risk. I went to a beauty school in delray for two years and i never had an issue. They closed down and this is the second place I tried in West Palm. The first time i came here i was 100% happy so I came back. This time I am really disappointed, everyone there is super nice and honestly i mentioned it was to short but i didn’t realize how bad until i left. I went back after freaking out in my car for a bit and the woman in front was very kind. I asked about extensions and she offered to help fix it. Now that i am home i realized i don’t want to risk going back there again. My hair is literally shoulder length now which is just frustrating because I can’t do anything with it. I’m not sure of the school I used to get my haircuts at has a better program, or the teachers were more hands on, or they only put students they knew would do well. But I guess I will have to overpay for my haircuts now because this is most disappointing haircut ever. And although $20 is not the biggest deal, for something i’m so unhappy with i wish i didn’t pay at all (or tip the person that did my hair, even tho i felt bad). Again everyone there is really nice, and the first time I was really happy.

The staff at The Beauty Institute is wonderful caring and well trained. They do everything they can to make for a great experience, whether a deep mask for your hair to nourish each strand or a wash, blow, nail service etc. Try them out. They are a hidden gem.

This appears to be one of the best kept secrets in this area. Usually, when making appointments with schools like this you wonder about the level of the student and the quality of service one might receive. My service experience exceeded all of my expectations. From the director, to the supervisor of students, to the actual student, all went well above and beyond in extending services for today and into the future. I was very satisfied.
