Best haircut I've had in DC (seriously). I love my hair, but had not been able to find a stylist I like in the city so I thought, let's give TSPA a shot. I'm so glad that I did! I was seen by Suzette who totally nailed what I wanted (several inches off, new layers, and clean up the curtain bangs). She not only gave me a killer cut but also gave me the most relaxing head rinse I've ever had. Major bonus points for this school because the instructors are master stylists (w/ their own salons) and soften up any areas if needed. Price is unbeatable, 1/4 the cost of my usual cuts, and the salon itself is spacious and clean. I'll be back for future hair cuts and a facial!

Located in Washington, D.C., The Salon Professional Academy is highly recognized for excellence in education by industry leaders like Redken. On their website, Vera says, "I chose TSPA DC as my Cosmetology program because I loved the atmosphere in the school."
The cosmetology program has in-demand courses taught by talented educators. As a 1,500-hour program, it takes 47 weeks of full-time or 67 weeks of part-time study.
You can also sign up for the 600-hour esthetics program, which takes about 19 weeks of full-time or 33 weeks of part-time study. You'll learn modern makeup application techniques, along with business and marketing skills.
The instructor program helps you shape the skills you need to educate the next generation of beauty students. It takes 1,000 hours or 25 weeks to complete.
TSPA offers excellent financial aid and scholarship opportunities to cut back on your tuition cost. Graduates are sometimes featured on their blog as well.
