Not a student but as a non affiliated person to the school, the first impression was terrible. The representative at the front desk, Simmons, lacks customer service skills. From the moment you speak with Simmons she has an attitude. Barely gives you the opportunity to ask transcript related questions if you’re not the student. If she could have been more informative for the start, even by providing general information as I had not given any student information, the experience would have been smoother and the less likely I would need to return. The next time around, luckily enough I dealt with a completely different lady (unfortunately did not get a name - glasses, short blonde hair). Super helpful and nice. She was assisting a prospective student as I was leaving and she said have a great day. Someone like her should be the face of the school when you first walk in. Nevertheless, I would not attend this school if the first few moments are bad.

CURRENT 2024 STUDENT DO NOT GO TO ERWIN THEY STEAL MONEY. FACULTY MEMBER HAVE ATTITUDES WHEN YOU ASK THEM FOR HELP the solar Photovoltaic program is awful. S. Brocks the instructor has no control over his class. We have a month left before we finish and take our eta & nabcep exam but they give us a whole 2 weeks out of school so we only have 2week to study for not one but two exams. We have one day left this week before get out i suggested we study for exams, but he wants us to clean up his shop lol I stressed my concern at the beginning of the program but nothing happened I also stressed to the assistance principle the front desk lady and they wouldn't let me speak with the principle. All I got was we'll look into it,in the meantime you just do what you can still haven't heard anything. They also shorted me on my financial aid check when I asked the book keepers who else's she messed up she just looked at me and laughed. THIS SCHOOL IS A JOKE THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THERE STUDENTS AT ALL.

I'm currently enrolled, and i would recommend exploring more options. The school is cheap for a reason. From my personal experience and what I've heard from other reviewers, the programs are all unorganized, and very little is done to lay out the teachings. Am i learning anything? Yes, im learning, but after the first month or two, the teacher doesn't bother trying. I learned more from the book than i did from my teacher. This isn't a bad school, just not a very good one. I've attended soldering classes at Career Source more organized than this. + COVID-19, making me lose 3 months of class, isn't helping. I should have just kept my job instead of leaving it for school. Now i have no job, lost a lot of schooling time, and doubting myself.
I will update the review after finishing my program.
I finished a few years ago.
I'm thankful for the time I spent here. I realized it was mainly covid that messed up my experience. I'm not sure who is teaching electrical now, but Mr. Willson was a great teacher. Today, I'm a 4th year apprentice, and I'm working towards my Journeyman's card. You don't NEED to do trade schooling to get into electrical, but it makes it easier to get a job when u sorta know how things work.
I recommend this if need/want to learn about the trade before you start working.
